How do I use Hat Saver?

Directions for Use:

  1. Start with a dry, clean hat.
  2. Hold can upright 3 inches from hat, and spray evenly over outside of hat where sweat can accumulate.
  3. Spray Hat Saver directly into seam on outside of hat where the hat and bill connect. Allow to dry approximately 15 minutes before wearing hat.
  4. A second application is recommended in the seam where the bill and hat connect on new hats. Periodic applications continue to improve repellency. Use in a well-ventilated area away from heat and flame. Do not use while smoking.

Why should I only spray Hat Saver on the outside of the hat?

When Hat Saver is applied to the outside of the hat, it protects sweat and oils from staining the hat. The inside of the hat, right below the bill, is the natural place where sweat should be captured in a hat -- the sweat band. If you spray the inner sweat band, sweat will run down your face instead of soak into the sweat band where it is meant to go.
